UX Design for Sylphi Health
To better develop my product design skills, I took on the challenge of becoming the lead user experience and user interface designer for a startup. I had the opportunity to join an incredible group of individuals out of the Harvard Innovation Lab. The goal was to develop a locking pill bottle that would help combat the Opioid crisis. The mission and product shifted as we conducted user research and testing and found a real desire for something entirely different. We identified the need for a safe and supportive community for those struggling with mental health. Sylphi believes in reimagining the world of social media to foster the mental needs of others. To understand how the user would interact with our product, we began the app creation with mind maps and user flows. Learn more about Sylphi by clicking on the logo below!

I was responsible for developing accessible, compelling mobile app user interfaces including wireframes and individual components to create complete design systems for the new Sylphi app. I executed competitor, user, and market research to design a seamless User Interface. I utilized Figma to create the user interface and design library that aligns with the company’s branding and messaging. I also participated in early business development, ideation and strategic decision making, along with designing an incentive structure to increase user engagement. I coordinated internal events, and curated weekly team newsletters to add channels of communication. In addition, I created content for a social media marketing campaign focused on early user growth.

As with most startups, I wore multiple hats and conquered various tasks throughout the day relating to design, business development, and project management.
